John M. Jacobs Plumbing & Heating, Inc. has experience in all aspects
of the mechanical contracting industry. Below is a description of the work we
are capable of performing.
John M. Jacobs Plumbing & Heating, Inc.
is fully equipped to perform every type of plumbing work including domestic
water lines, gas lines, heating lines, fixtures, etc. We are licensed by the
State of Michigan
to install hot water and steam boilers, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC
systems. Our field staff includes at least four master plumbers, all licensed
by the State of Michigan.
We have four certified journeyman in backflow prevention installation and
repair, and three certified journeyma n in medical gas installations.
We are fully certified to perform all types
of HVAC work, including hot water, steam, forced air, in-floor radiant, and
refrigeration. We have two journeymen certified to install refrigeration
systems, one certified to recover refrigerant.

has much experience in installing large mechanical systems and running process
piping. As a member of the United
Association we have access to several highly skilled and well-experienced
crews, allowing us to man any size job at any notice. Our crews have experience
in installing all types of piping systems including copper, carbon steel,
stainless steel, iron pipe, lead pipe, chromolly, nickel, incoloy, titanium,
and fiberglass (piping and tank). We are certified to fabricate and install
teflon, polypro, kynar and Saran lined piping systems. Our fabrication shop (UA
certified) in Freeland, Michigan is equipped with the latest in TIG and MIG
welders, Plasmar cutting equipment, and pipe threading capabilities (up to
8" pipe). Our in-house welding procedure software has extensive databases
for qualification of all types of procedures, metals, and codes. We are capable
of performing weld tests, and self-qualifications (all welding certifications
and procedures to ASME. Our equipment
includes portable welders, two 6 ton boom trucks, a Calvar Condor, and other
various hand tools.
We have vast experience in the waste water
treatment industry. We are capable of heavy equipment installations, Victaulic
and groove fit piping systems, chemical tank installations, pump installations
and hook up, and installation of large valve systems.

has several customers who work on a design/build process. We have assisted in
the designing of plumbing, heating and refrigeration systems. In addition, we
have experience in designing process piping systems, and waste water treatment
facilities. Our in-house computer system has the latest version of AutoDesk's
AutoCad. We have a laser printer for quick and clear printouts and a plotter
for full scale drawings.
